On March 10, Wan Hai Lines announced via the stock exchange that it has ordered 4 LNG dual-fuel 6,000 TEU container vessels from Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding. The average price per ship is approximately US$75.2 million to US$82.0 million, with a total contract value of US$300 million to US$328 million.
In addition, Wan Hai Lines has ordered 2 methanol-ready 9,200 TEU container vessels from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding. The average price per ship is around US$102 million to US$112 million, with a total contract value of US$204 million to US$224 million.
